Resolution
Please submit your information in the very high resolution (see details

contains high quality images and documents. In addition to the
resolution typical on websites, our 'archive' resolution will be available
for those with Internet connections that support large downloads. In
the future, the archive material will be made available in a convenient
format on CD-ROM, or DVD (data)
Suggested formats:
- Photos: 600 dpi. JPEG WITHOUT compression.
Since we are in fact, contributing to a historical archive, please include
as much information as possible including: description, location,
captions identifying as many people as possible along with their position
in the photo (label unknowns accordingly), date of photo, photographer,
submitter's name and relation to the sailor. An Excel document can
be downloaded showing examples of the requested information.
- Documents: 300 dpi, JPEG WITHOUT compression. Scan
documents in an 'image format' (numerous shades of color/gray), and
NOT in a 'document format' (two shades of gray, black and white)
- Audio: .wav, or .mp3 sampled at a rate of at least 16 kHz, with
a bit rate of at least 48 kpbs
